Make a Mold featuring Isaac Duncan
Saturday April 1
12 p.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Ages 7 & up, max 15 children per workshop
$10 per child (cost does NOT include admission to the Museum)
Art and chess will collide as you create your own handmade souvenir during Make a Mold, a molding and casting workshop led by local artist Isaac Duncan. Children ages 7 and up will work one-on-one with Isaac Duncan as he teaches the process of mold making and casting a form with a urethane resin. Every artist will leave with a chess-themed piece that they crafted!
“This is a great opportunity to expose kids to new art forms,” said Liza Blair, arts manager at Creative Discovery Museum. “Isaac Duncan is providing a unique opportunity for children to learn the process of making a mold and casting a 3D object. What a great experience!”
Make a Mold will be offered at 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1. Workshops will last one hour and cost $10 per child in addition to Museum admission. So come get your hands dirty and leave with your very own piece of our current exhibit, Kings, Queens & Castles!
